At Evotec’s site in Goettingen, Germany, the In Vivo department is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated
Senior Research Scientist (all genders)
In Vivo Pharmacology/Kidney Disease
Full-time and permanent
to work on and support drug discovery programs in the area of kidney diseases.
Your key responsibilities:
  • Evaluate drug targets in the area of kidney diseases by using relevant rodent preclinical models
  • Refine existing models of kidney disease (acute and chronic models), establish new kidney models, and implement novel in vivoapproaches
  • Serve as a project representative and a responsible in vivo scientist for specific drug targets within programs, and be a “model representative” both on the scientific and technical level
  • Being a team player: Manage research scientists and assistants and provide them with scientific and technical support and supervision
  • Analyse data from in vivo studies, always ensuring high quality, statistical rigor, timely delivery and transparency in reporting
  • Present and discuss your work in Evotec’s project teams and with external partners and clients
Your ideal qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Biology, Pharmacology or a relevant related discipline with deep scientific knowledge and several years of practical PostDoc experience in the area of kidney diseases
  • Experience in a Pharma, Biotech or CRO setting would be a plus
  • Working knowledge with the German animal welfare and authorities
  • Experience in writing permits and proposals
  • FELASA B, C or an equivalent certification
  • Experience in leadership activities; managing a team of research scientists and assistants
  • Excellent interpersonal, technical, and communication skills to work effectively in cross-functional project teams and within a matrix and culturally diverse environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to come up with ideas for improvement
  • Dynamic and durable personality with high levels of drive, enthusiasm, and ability to cope with changing projects
  • Full working proficiency in written and spoken German is beneficial
