As Senior Procurement Manager for RWE’s growing Wind & PV pipeline in Europe within our Europe & APAC Procurement team, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the supplier country strategy for our new growth market Germany.
In addition, you will act as Procurement Single Point of Contact for our largest and most complex PV & Solar projects, taking full responsibility for all EPC and/or BoP contracts during the development and construction phases and optimising our supply chain measures across the entire project lifecycle from both a project and portfolio perspective.
Your future responsibilities:
- Lead negotiations of large and complex project contracts (including EPC and BoP contracts) for PV & Wind projects in multidisciplinary and international teams.
- Develop purchasing strategies for these contracts, implement and manage them
- Development of an optimised and standardised tendering process for the project development and construction contracts
- Development and implementation of framework agreements
- Development of an active supplier management for PV & Wind Balance of Plant contracts
- Development and implementation of an active stakeholder management with colleagues from Development, Construction and Service
- Interface management with category procurement for PV modules and wind turbine generators and other supporting functions such as finance, risk control and legal
- Assessments of suppliers, subcontractors and consultants including audits and complaint management.
- Preparation of cost estimates for new photovoltaic installations and grid connection works.
- Preparation and drafting of decision papers for management including risk assessments and cost-benefit analyses.
- Several years of relevant experience in the PV and wind sector preferably within Europe.
- Several years of relevant experience in managing and handling large and complex tenders for PV & Wind EPC contracts and/or for power plant/industrial or infrastructure projects (Capex / Opex).
- Ability to quickly and effectively build relationships and maintain key stakeholder and supplier relationships
- Extensive experience in identifying and assessing commercial contract risks, developing risk prevention/control strategies
- Successfully completed degree in engineering or business administration, additional legal qualification an advantage
- Intercultural understanding and experience in working with different cultures
- Very good communication skills (written and spoken) in English and German)
- Occasional willingness to travel to visit projects on site.
