(Senior) Manager Project Finance

Full-time employee, Berlin

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead (and/ or participate in) international and interdisciplinary project and transaction teams in the negotiation and execution of debt and equity raising, as well as sale process for utility scale solar PV plants
  • Moderate roadmap of Financial Close with both external and internal stakeholders, ensure timely deliveries and data distribution
  • Manage Projects through Financial Close process to ensure that all closing requirements are met and deadlines are achieved.
  • Strategic advisory and hands-on support and management of market and project opportunities with a focus on new and emerging markets for utility scale solar PV plants, commercial feasibility, bankability, risk-return profiles/ risk assessment
  • Lead financial structuring of projects and cooperations incl. financial modelling, negotiation of SHA, JDA, JVA, Senior and Junior financing and management of due diligence processes
  • building up and maintaining cooperation and networks towards Development Finance Institutions, Investors, commercial banks, institutional investors and brokers, knowledge and use of tools and instruments and collaborate with before-mentioned players to arrange Project Finance debt facilities, equity solutions and other products
  • Maintain professional, technical and market knowledge for successful Financial Close requirements.
  • Represent IBV diligently

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master Degree in economics, engineering or finance. MBA is an add-on.
  • 10 years plus of professional experience
  • Experience in Project Financing, Structure Finance and/or M&A. Experience in the Power or Oil and Gas sectors is a plus
  • Strong negotiating and problem solving skills
  • Excellent skills in managing multiple tasks requiring strong attention to detail
  • Good MS Office Suit and other accounting and/or data base software
  • Enjoy working both as a team member and independently
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Analytical and research skills
  • Ability to take full ownership of issues until they are completed.
  • Full professional proficiency in English, other foreign languages welcome
  • Robust Skills in Cash Flow Modelling/ Financial Modelling
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving and dynamic environment
