For our Global Legal & IP Team, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Legal Counsel - Business Partner Legal Commercial (m/f/d) for KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA. The Business Partner Legal (m/f/d) is the main contact for all legal questions, in particular for our new business unit vegetable seeds and provides high-quality and business-oriented legal advice. He (m/f/d) acts as a pro-active and pragmatic sparring partner for the KWS business based on an in-depth market understanding of the seed industry.

This is a permanent position and available in full-time.

The place of work is Berlin or at our HQ in Einbeck.

Your Tasks:

• Providing high-quality legal advice on all legal issues relating to our new Business Unit Vegetables and, to some extent, our other Business Units Corn, Sugarbeet and Cereals, in particular regarding licensing, service, supply, lease, distribution, purchase, confidentiality, marketing and other commercial agreements
• Steering and coordination of civil litigation matters
• Acts as a sparring partner to the business in identifying new business opportunities, structuring marketing models in a legally sound and pragmatic manner with appropriate consideration of the big picture
• Legal support for mergers and acquisitions
• Supporting the Expert Hub Legal in the development and implementation of standard contracts, templates, model clauses, legal document management, and know-how/license management, as well as in overarching corporate matters
• Management and coordination of external legal advisors
