(Senior) Java Backend Developer - Inventory Core (f/m/d)

Your future team

• You will be part of the Core team in the Inventory department, which is fully responsible for building a scalable onboarding platform for new providers and managing existing holiday home properties.
• Your work will serve 100 Million users each month, and you will work with microservices using Java 11, K8S, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch and AWS.
• The team does two awesome things:
• It owns the data ingestion and core layer of Holidu’s entire inventory.

Builds the tools that power these integrations.

Our Tech Stack

• We are writing the platform and other applications with micro-services using Java 11, with Spring Boot, running on Kubernetes.
• Data storage with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis and Elasticsearch.
• Heavy usage of AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Git.
• Tools and internal applications written with ReactJS.
• Monitoring with ELK, Grafana and internally developed technologies.

Your role in this journey

• You will be involved in the whole end-end software development process, from ideation all the way through to the release and monitoring.
• Time to production can be as short as a few minutes and you’ll be the one driving these releases!
• Do you want to work more with Cloud? You will be responsible for designing the solution, provisioning the resources and integrating your applications directly with AWS.
• You will be developing the heart of the system that will make the integrations quicker, of which we have 80 right now, AND allow us to scale this number even further!
• The platform you would work on will consist of core domain services that sustains high volume traffic.
• You will drive projects!

Your backpack is filled with

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Multiple years of development experience in Java, after or during your studies.
• You have worked with or are keen to learn and use AWS, Spring Boot, Microservices, MongoDB, Kubernetes, data pipelines and the rest of our stack.
• You love coding and building world class products!
