(Senior) Frontend Engineer - Global Data (f/m/d)

We are looking for a (Senior) Frontend Engineer -Global Data (f/m/d) to join our Data Experimentation Stats Team. You will help us to design, implement and support the construction of data solutions and internal tools for the Global Data Tribe in Delivery Hero organization. As a FrontEnd Engineer, you will collaborate with other data teams to design and build Web applications that will help our stakeholders to interact with the services data teams will provide and develop advanced visualizations to present the insights every global data squad will produce.

Your mission:

• Together with the data squads, you will design, plan and build innovative web applications that enable stakeholders to interact and visualize current Global Data Tribe products.

• You will architect and implement efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications.

• Implement new features and improve the user experience of existing solutions.

• Perform ongoing reviews of our current applications and provide recommendations to improve them.

• Be data-oriented, assess the impact of features, make hypotheses, and implement new solutions.

• Create proofs of concepts with new technologies and drive innovation in our tribe.

• Work together with a great team to succeed in our mission.

Your heroic skills:

• You have at least 2 years of experience building highly interactive web applications using JavaScript, including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6.

• You have a good level of experience working with HTML/CSS, including concepts like layout, specificity, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility.

• You have experience using web build tools like Webpack and NPM to package and productionalize applications.

• You’re proficient in selecting from best practice Design Patterns and Design Principles when building your architectures and algorithms.

• Experience with using React (preferred) or other Javascript frameworks as well as using browser APIs and optimizing frontend performance.

• At least some experience applying XP and Agile principles to your work, e.g. TDD, Retrospectives, Pair Programming, Continuous Deployments, etc.

• Passionate professional with excellent analytical and problem-solving in a rapidly growing data organization with a focus on performance optimization, reliability, and availability.

• Operations: You have experience deploying your work to cloud based infrastructures and know your way around a CI/CD pipeline. Experience building and deploying them are a plus!

• Familiarity with Docker / Travis / GitActions.

• Fluent English language skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience with backend programming (Python or Golang) is an added advantage

• Experience in developing, deploying, and supporting services-based enterprise cloud solutions on GCP and/or AWS using Kubernetes and Terraform.

• Experience with BigQuery
