As our new Senior Engineer - Structural Design Floating Wind you will be part of our Floating Wind Team that is focusing on providing independent consultancy in floating wind to a broad range of clients incl. utilities, developers and floater designers. Ramboll does not develop an own proprietary floating wind concept but our team provides independent detailed technical engineering and design services, T&I and logistics studies, as well as broader advisory services related to upcoming commercial floating wind projects. We are also actively involved in JIP and R&D projects. You will be given a high degree of independence and empowerment to bring in your own ideas and be part of a highly engaged innovative team with a high diversity of competences covering naval architecture, wind turbine, integrated floater system, as well as fabrication, T&I, logistics and project development.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Structural steel hull design, scantling design for floating wind substructures, as well as interface design of the hull to tower, moorings and concrete elements
• Technical reviews of structural designs
• Advisory to clients on engineering aspects for floating wind substructures
• General naval architecture engineering tasks related to hydrodynamic analyses
• Managing tasks and communicating with clients

• M.Sc. in structural offshore engineering, e.g. naval architecture, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or other relevant offshore engineering education
• Professional experience in working in the floating wind, O&G, Shipbuilding, or other offshore industry for at least 3 years
• Preferably design experience from floating offshore structures (FPSOs, drilling rigs, ships, submarines, floating wind substructures and other floating offshore structures)
• Capable to provide comprehensive advisory in technical and commercial areas and experience and skillset to approach and provide advice to clients in a confident and trusted manner
• Motivated to learn new skills and expanding your current knowledge
• Superior communication skills in English

Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role includeAble to understand complex technical problems and communicate solutions effectively to clients, broad knowledge base in floating wind to understand the overall system in a comprehensive way, highly motivated and enthusiastic about floating wind and eager to learn new skills, able to work structured and self-reliant in multidisciplinary team, comfortable to work in a flat hierarchy organisation with a high level of individual empowerment.
