Do you want to make an impactful difference in your work and work together with plant breeding experts, researchers, and programmers from all over the world to bring our breeding processes to the next level of digitalization?Are you looking for your next career chapter in which you can bring in your ideas and challenge the status quo?We are looking for aScientist (m/f/d) digital breeding processesfor our corn and oilseed crop department at KWS SAAT SE at the Einbeck site as soon as possible. This position is to be filled as a full-time position and for an indefinite period.Your tasks:
  • Administration and further development of a cross-crop breeding data information system
  • Intensive teamwork with the Breeding Information Teams of all KWS cultures
  • Development of new software modules for the implementation of existing and future breeding processes
  • Development of a reuse management system for worldwide use
  • Close cooperation with plant breeding, research, and programming teams
  • Travel to various KWS breeding stations in Germany and abroad to support and train users
Your profile:
  • Ph.D. or M.Sc. in plant or animal breeding, information technology or similar disciplines
  • Basic knowledge in the field of plant breeding
  • Experience in the management, evaluation, and visualization of data such like database systems and/or the programming in R or programming languages
  • Strong Interest in designing processes
  • Very good communication and team skills
  • Good language skills in English, and German skills would be an advantage
  • Willingness to travel (up to 25%)
