Description of duties:

  • participation in the research projects of the Chair, especially project Value of Information (VoI)
  • research in the research areas of the Chair
  • participation in the acquisition of third-party funding
  • design, preparation and execution of exercise courses to lectures and other courses on Bachelor and Master level as well as supervision of term papers, Bachelor’s theses, and Master’s theses
  • collaboration in the team of the Chair and participation in organizational tasks of the Chair
  • participation in research projects of the Chair leading towards a Habilitation (venia legendi)

Required qualifications:

  • academic degree (e.g. MSc) in business administration, economics, mathematical economics, mathematics or an adjourning discipline
  • PhD degree in business administration, economics, mathematical economics, mathematics or an adjourning discipline
  • excellent knowledge in the area of management, i.e. knowledge in one or more of the research focuses of the Chair (theoretical modelling, sustainability, decision making under uncertainty, game theory, personnel economics, microeconomics, personnel and organization)
  • excellent knowledge in methodological research and experience in quantitative research as well as knowledge in data analysis or the willingness to acquire such skills

Desirable Qualifications:

  • publications in peer-reviewed journals
  • experience in projects with third-party funding
  • first experience as a postdoctoral research
  • willingness to work in and to contribute to interdisciplinary teams
  • good English language skills
  • capacity for teamwork, high motivation and the skill to work self-dependent
