Project Coordinator* – CMC Project Management

As part of the CMC Project Management team at BioNTech, you will be responsible for planning, creating, and maintaining complex project schedules in a multi-platform and multi-project environment for our individualized cancer therapies pipeline and late phase CMC development projects that support our clinical trials. You will be working closely with technical experts, project leads and project managers to implement and maintain all necessary processes, procedures, and templates to ensure an accurate, timely and precise project controlling in a highly dynamic working environment and the corresponding project risk management. Your main responsibilities are:
  • Create, monitor, and analyze project schedules in accordance with state-of-the-art best practice standard for project management
  • Coordinate project schedules, tasks, meeting updates, and efficient distribution of reports
  • Support the project managers to monitor projects’ progress, including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved to date
  • Track baselines, perform what-if analysis, and develop contingency plans
  • Create, implement, and maintain KPIs and tools to enable an efficient tracking of project progress in close coordination with the PMO
  • Maintain project risk log to ensure that risks are effectively managed to minimize their impact on schedule, scope, and budget of projects
  • Support the implementation of company-wide new processes and process improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency

What you have to offer.

  • Successful university degree, preferably in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Engineering, Life Sciences or similar field
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Project or similar software tools
  • Knowledge of risk assessment methods
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Fast perception of new knowledge and efficient problem-solving skills with high personal commitment within a matrix and fast paced environment
  • Very good English skills, written and orally (German skills are also desirable but not essential)
