This role is based in Munich, Germany (Hybrid Schedule)
Role Overview
The PR Manager Product and Events, Europe is responsible for managing the product communication and campaigns including PR event and experience activities within the company’s European market to build market awareness.
This person must be an excellent communicator - verbally, visually and in writing - a source of creative ideas, and someone who is knowledgeable about automotive communication platforms and event organization.
The ideal candidate is strategic and creative, works well both in a collaborative setting and individually, quickly establishes credibility, accepts new challenges, embraces processes and deadlines, and can successfully work through tight deadlines and ambiguity.
This person will be part of the Communications Team in Europe, reporting to the Head of Public Relations in Europe, who is reporting to the Director of Communications in US while working closely also with the Event, Marketing & Service Europe team. This position is full-time and based at the Fisker European head office in Munich, Germany.
Responsibilities
  • Primary accountability for supporting European PR initiatives and projects by content development and event creation in the area of product and technology topics to expand product story telling in European media to enhance Fisker’s reputation
  • Actively research media opportunities in the product and tech-focused area, develop, manage and evaluate technology and product communication, support publish timely company information such as press releases and product-related content including visuals
  • Help Head of Communications in collaboration with PR agency to oversee relationships with media to ensure reporters, editors, bloggers, media influencers and media outlets are receiving agreed upon product and tech communications and events
  • Creating and managing PR events calendar, developing events from research, conceptualization to implementation based on owned responsibility
  • Independently manage Europe-wide planning and distribution of press fleet vehicles to create PR outcome across market and support company’s reputation
    • Work across departments to develop communications stories, events, campaigns, partnerships, etc.
  • Identify opportunities for event and experiential activities in the automotive are and beyond
  • Support to manage a European-based PR agency and execute on a multi-pronged communications strategy
  • Serve as a product spokesperson when needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree minimum, master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years + experience with an international automotive, technology or consumer brand working cross-border in the area of communications and events in different languages.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing across all levels of the organization and create a tailored approach to reach various audiences.
  • A collaborative work style that includes the ability to work well with senior leaders across the organization and countries.
  • Understanding of Media Relations at Various Levels, including media events and journalist/influencer needs
  • Understanding news cycles and deadlines
  • Excellent Writing and Editing Proficiency, including the ability to quickly understand and capture in writing new concepts and ideas

  • English fluent, fluent in German, French and other European languages considered a benefit.
