Sales Manager region Central


As the Regional Sales Manager Region Central you will be responsible for developing and implementing a well-balanced sales and marketing strategy for the specialty rental business within the region (composed out of Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Romania, Czech Republic, Austria & Hungary). Main responsibilities include identifying and developing relationships with high potential industries, segments, customers and partners that can contribute to the long-term growth of the specialty rental business lines.

Your direct mission, together with your team, is to maximize the sustainable growth of our rental business through direct and indirect channels and partners. You are expected to continuously evaluate the sales and marketing road map and the actions taken, implementing corrective measures necessary to reach the yearly sales and profitability targets for each business line in your region. Managing the sales and sales support teams with high attention to communication, training and coaching is a vital part of the role. The sales team currently exists out of 10 dedicated Sales Engineers in 4 countries.

As the Regional Sales Manager Region Central you will report to the Business Line Manager Region Central and you will be a key member of the regional management team. Your responsibilities are designed to support the Business Line Manager in driving the Atlas Copco Specialty Rental business in line with the 4 dimensions growth strategy and 3 year plan.

Educational requirements

University degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business Studies or equivalent through experience.


Knowledge requirements

  • Experience from business development, territory management and value-based sales.
  • Experience in people and project management in a multicultural environment
  • Sound knowledge of products offered by Specialty Rental (primarily compressors, gensets and steam boilers)
  • Good understanding for the purpose and use of Customer Management Systems (CRM) systems
  • Very good command of written and spoken English, and German and/or Polish

  • Resilient with an ability to cope with change in an ever faster moving digital landscape and who can spread a positive attitude around changes and the benefits thereof.
  • Strong communications and presentations skills with an ability to clearly demonstrate our capabilities and value propositions to current and potential customers.
  • Exceptionally good analytical skills and a structured and professional approach.
