For the Automotive Business Unit (ABU) in our Villingen-Schwenningen, Berlin or Munich office we are looking for a Lead Software Architect – Graphics/Video (f/m/d)

Your area of responsibility - exciting and with a view into the future

  • Definition of software architectures for complex embedded graphics and video systems in the field of automotive systems
  • Support of requirements analysis, breakdown and technical coordination with the customer
  • Definition, planning and estimation of work packages together with the software project team
  • Design of graphics and video software for embedded automotive hardware on Linux, Android and QNX OS
  • Support of analysis, optimization and extension of existing embedded software solutions
  • Participation in developing and implementing the technical roadmap for the graphics and video team
  • Staying in touch with state-of-the-art technologies in the video and graphic field
Your Qualifications - Validated And Adequate

  • Bachelor or Master degree in computer/software engineering, electronics or related discipline
  • Several years of experience in a comparable position in embedded systems, ideally automotive software
  • Strong experience in creation of Graphics and Video architectures for Linux, Android, and/or QNX OS in the domain of Infotainment or Digital Cluster
  • Strong experience in the complete automotive video chain from camera to display, including the networking of such signals (e.g. AVB, RTP, gPTP)
  • Knowledge of involved concepts such as DRM, TEE, KMS, V4L2, H.264/265
  • Very good technical background in embedded multicore system software development and state of the art automotive SoCs
  • Good knowledge of automotive software development processes (e.g. Automotive Spice) and agile development practices
  • Strong leadership, communication, presentation and social skills
  • Strong team player with good spoken and written communication skills in English and German
