THE POSITION

In this role you are a central functional expert for IT Quality Control (QC). Your focus will be on our IT QC portfolio supporting existing solutions and driving the implementation of innovative applications. 

As part of our IT OPS Quality Control Europe & APAC team, you will collaborate closely with the business units to plan, design, and implement the required QC solutions for BI. Furthermore, you will manage with other IT functions the complete system lifecycle (design, build, run & decommission) of global IT systems and applications in a pharmaceutically regulated environment.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • In your new role, you will serve as an expert for existing and new systems and solutions on technical and process level considering organizational aspects. 
  • Furthermore, you will analyse and model QC processes and implement them into the systems considering the corresponding business requirements, best practices and standard solutions. 
  • As part of your job, you will also provide optimization, maintenance and 3rd level support for our systems and find creative and innovative approaches.  
  • In close partnership with key business stakeholders, you identify and prioritize demands to maximize the value for the business. 
  • You will create the required documentation in accordance to the IT regulations.
  • In close alignment with other Business Consultants in IT you support harmonization, simplification and automation of IT services and processes. 
  • You work with external partners to maximize the value of their services for BI and to ensure the successful implementation of projects or system enhancements. 
  • Additionally, you will lead large (agile) IT projects and programs with high complexity. 
  • You work in collaboration with strategic external partners to ensure mutual beneficial relationships. 
  • In the field of QC you are interacting with our stakeholders on management and senior management level to enforce process, architecture and roadmap decisions.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Informatics or comparable or Bachelor´s degree with several years of relevant working experiences
  • Long term professional IT experience, including a proven track record of successful IT QC implementation projects of significant complexity
  • Very strong solution design capabilities including configuration and customization in SAP QM is essential
  • Profound ABAP development skills and mature in providing specifications to and managing developers
  • Proven project management track record of large and complex (agile) IT projects and programs
  • Ability to develop ideas and innovations and to adapt yourself and your job to the constant change in IT
  • Team player and networker with intercultural experience, who has a solution oriented working behaviour and is able to negotiate and convince others
  • Excellent in negotiation and strong in driving decisions within a larger group of stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel from time to time on a global level (about 20%)
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills on a professional level in English and German (verbal and written)
