Your Tasks

  • Integrating new data sources for permanent or temporary use by Data Scientists using the Hadoop Ecosystem (Sqoop, Hive, Impala)
  • Supporting the operation and maintenance of our Data Lake based on Cloudera Hadoop.
  • Supporting the migration of our Data Lake to Azure
  • Supporting our Data Scientists in the implementation and optimisation of complex machine learning programs
  • Coordinating the international Data Engineer community within the scope of our BI governance framework as well as collaborating on further data science projects

Your Profile

  • Degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics or similar
  • Extensive knowledge of data processing and development environments in the Hadoop Ecosystem (Sqoop, Spark, Hive, Impala, etc.)
  • Good programming skills (Python, R, Scala, Spark)
  • Experience in working with SAP data connection, Informatica, Alteryx or Azure is advantageous
  • A passion for new technologies in the big data environment and fluency in English
