We are looking for a Software Engineering student experienced with IoT Technologies, Java and Python varying from the Edge to the Cloud. You will help build new features for a smart IoT fridge and maintain the codebase.

Start: by arrangement / immediately

Location: Düsseldorf-Bilk

Tasks

  • Developing containerized applications on the edge (Raspberry Pi) using Java and/or Python
  • Working on our "kiosk controller" software to manage all electronic components locally and communicate with the Google Cloud Platform via MQTT
  • Implementing payment terminals, gateways and protocols using ZVT, OPI, MDB
  • Quality assurance of the software through planning, creation and execution of tests
  • Work with a cross-functional team to define, build, test, and deploy universal applications
  • Version control with Git and continuous integration are part of your daily work
Requirements

  • Proficient in Java (Python is a plus)
  • Experience using Docker to create and manage containers
  • Knowledge of MQTT and Linux Operating Systems as well as GitLab / CICD
  • Enrolled in university (looking for a mandatory internship or working student)
  • Fluent in English
