fortiss is the research institute of the Free State of Bavaria for software-intensive systems and services with headquarters in Munich. In the Neuromorphic Computing department, we propose an
IDP in neuromorphic vision + embedded systems

Your topic:

You will be integrated in a team of neuromorphic computing researchers at fortiss, to work on an object identification sensor with an event camera. It will be mounted on a drone and the famous Boston Dynamics robotic dog. This work, which bases on a previous project in simulation, is with a very large industrial partner. You will learn event-based vision and implement a real time sensor on an asset monitoring use case. You will create a hardware demonstrator open to the public and your work will combine computer vision with hands on robotic integration.

Your profile:

  • Excellent bachelor degree in computer science, electronics, machine vision or software engineering and excellent track record in your current masters
  • Good experience in software development (Python)
  • Interest or experience in machine vision, sensors or embedded systems
