About this opportunity
Ericsson Antenna System (EAS) is offering a complete range of innovative high-quality Antenna and Antenna Line Devices as an integral part of Ericsson Radio Systems. We are now looking for a committed Head of the Project Management Office (PMO) in Rosenheim, Germany, to lead the PMO organization within research and development of EAS.
The PMO consists of three groups and is responsible for project management, R&D finance, project controlling and resource planning. You will drive the continuous improvement of the product management organization to increase efficiency and productivity within R&D focusing on customer needs. A close cooperation with strategic product management, individual R&D units as well as with wider Ericsson Networks functions defines your daily work to achieve excellence in the PMO unit and on project execution.
The Head of the PMO unit is a member of the R&D Leadership Team.
What you will do
- Lead an organization, that defines the long-term project plan, individual project targets and sets the heartbeat of project execution
- Actively manage the project portfolio, contributing decisively to the overall success of Ericsson Antenna Systems
- Manage risk proactively
- Promote data driven & scenario-based decision making
- Define decisive KPIs, monitoring project execution, work efficiencies and project controlling
- Prepare product releases
- Continuously improve project execution, competences, methods and tools in the project management department
- Ensure accurate project controlling, monitoring R&D finances & resources
- Define long-term product plan and portfolio together with strategic product management
- Encourage a close collaboration and efficient execution with R&D functions across the Ericsson business unit Networks
- Report project targets and status to a broad audience from engineering to executive management
- Be at the pulse of EAS
You will bring
- A Bachelor, Master´s or University degree in engineering, physics, technology or an equivalent qualification
- Demonstrated long-term R&D experience with excellent project management knowledge (e.g. classic, agile, hybrid methods)
- Good understanding of the global Telecom / ICT industry is a plus
- Proven management and leadership experience and skills, with the ability to drive change encouraging an adaptable and learning organization focusing on operational excellence
- Strong track record in developing high energy, customer-centric and performance driven teams
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, able to successfully interact on all levels up to senior / executive management
- Outstanding goal- and result oriented as well as cost- and quality-conscious entrepreneurial mindset with a strong customer orientation
- Highly analytical and methodical approach with strong problem-solving skills
- Full proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- German language skills are a plus
