Join us in shaping the future of e-health as a Global Category Manager (m/f/d) Professional Services
As a CGM-wide service provider, Central Purchasing is responsible for purchasing and procuring goods and services. An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join us as Global Category Manager (m/f/d). We are in the process of transforming and developing our procurement department to become a mature global procurement organization.
Your Contribution:
  • You are globally responsible for the professional service category (e.g. HR Services, Finance and Tax Services, Management Consulting, Insurance Services) and Fleet Management within the Group Procurement Organization and manage the development of the category as well as implementation of the relevant sourcing strategy.
  • You will promote complex strategic initiatives and end-to-end procurement processes for professional services and fleet management, delivering value beyond the financial contribution, especially in procurement market innovations that contribute to digitization.
  • You develop effective, trusting, and personal relationships with your teammates and your senior stakeholders.
  • Together with relevant business contacts, you align your strategies and act as a trusted advisor (m/f/d) to them to initiate strategic initiatives.
  • In addition, you will develop and manage strategic supplier relationships and be responsible for the entire sourcing to contracting process in your area of responsibility, from managing business needs, defining sourcing strategies and selecting suppliers to leading negotiations.
What you bring along:
  • You have successfully completed a degree in business administration or have gained equivalent experience in a company.
  • You have at least 5 years of practical experience in the field of procurement of professional services such as HR Services, Financial Services and Managment consulting. Additionally, you have gained international and cross-functional experience, working in a global matrix organization. Experience in fleet procurement is advantageous.
  • At best, you bring experience in building or redesigning processes.
  • Excellent communication skills – fluency in English and German is mandatory. Speaking other languages such as Italian or French is an advantage, but not a must.
  • Your willingness to lead change as well as good communication skills, strong business acumen, commercial understanding, and the ability to act as a business partner for senior management, including the C-suite, will set you apart!
