A vacancy for a Development Engineer (d/m/w) Electrical Systems has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Friedrichshafen. The successful applicant will join “Electrical Systems Friedrichshafen”.
Tasks:
- Responsibility for the work package “Electrical Systems Engineering” (ELSYS) and deliveries of the related items (hardware, models, documentation) in space programs during the phases 0, A, B/C/D.
- Point of contact towards the customer and suppliers for ELSYS subjects
- Execution of early studies 0,A, B1
- Coordination of the electrical team in late studies B2, C/D
- Analysis of applicable high level requirements
- Support flow down of above requirements to functional chains and subsystem electrical requirements
- Contribute to the definition of the electrical architecture of the spacecraft platform and payload(s)
- Management of the electrical Interfaces and the GDIR (General Design and Interface Requirements document)
- Co-engineering with suppliers
- Coordination of relevant design and MAIT activities at supplier level
- Support of project team members and other disciplines for ELSYS matters
- Support of relevant operations and AIT activities at System level
- Contribution to related internal/external R&D and improvements/standardisation initiatives
- Systems engineering and design experience is an asset
Requirements:
- Master degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable such as Physics or Space Engineering with the focus on electrical
- Proven ELSYS experience
- Proven experience in one or more of the following space electrical engineering disciplines
- Electrical Interfaces
- Harness
- EMC
- Power
- On-Board Data Handling and Security
- RF Communications
- Ability to work autonomously and manage work packages, subcontractors and the electrical team
- Experience in the field of Airworthiness, Certification and Qualification
- English and German language skills on negotiation level
