Joining us means joining a truly global community of more than 75 000 people dedicated to solving real-world mobility challenges and achieving international projects with sustainable local impact.

If you’re ambitious, driven and team-spirited, this is your opportunity to build a career as a Fleet monitoring BVG Service (m/f/d) based at our site in Hennigsdorf, Germany.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • Condition monitoring of components, systems and trains is one of the most important technologies to increase vehicle safety, reduce maintenance costs and improve the reliability and availability (RAMS) of Alstom’s vehicle fleets.
  • Fleet monitoring tools are used to visualize and analyze vehicle and field data. Furthermore, it is possible to develop algorithms based on the data that optimize operational operation and maintenance(condition-based maintenance).
  • For the BVG2020 project, a service contract for the supply of spare parts was concluded. Within this contract, spare parts must be delivered to BVG depots in a very short time. With the help of diagnostic data, among other things, required spare parts are to be identified or predicted at an early stage in order to support the overall concept.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implementation of the service forecasting concept for project BVG2020 for the realization of the spare parts supply concept
  • Implementation of a fleet monitoring tool for BVG 2020
  • Analysis and validation of system data and vehicle signals
  • Derivation and creation of alarms in the tool to support Product Introduction (PI) during warranty and to optimize the spare parts supply concept with regard to forecasting
  • Implementation of forecasting algorithms for estimating the condition (deterioration, wear and tear and residual useful life) of critical systems and derivation of failures in spare parts
  • Validation of the end-to-end processes (data collection, model implementation, implementation of the algorithms and triggering of warning messages, impact on maintenance)
REQUIREMENTS

  • University education in the field of electrical engineering, software engineering, computer science, or comparable degree
  • Experience in Alstom or relevant industry: automotive, aviation, railway or automation
  • Experience in functional vehicle system technology and / or experience in train / vehicle control and communication system
  • Software background desirable
  • Ability to work and interact in multidisciplinary and international teams
  • Demonstrated skills to influence, negotiate, and build effective relationships between departments and organizations
  • The further processing and structuring of complex amounts of data does not present you with any problems.
  • Programming experience(Phyton,VBA, etc.) and modeling skills are a strong plus.
  • Safe in English & German in spoken and written
