We are looking for a new colleague in the Product Planning department at our location in Friedrichshafen.

Your tasks:

Part of the Divisional governance function for all product-related topics of the ZF Division Electrified Powertrain Technology
Definition and implementation of processes and systems with relevance to product development
Jointly developing global product strategies including product strategy reviews, technology capability assessment, innovation screening and price/ cost curves
Maintain a stable and fruitful exchange with Heads of PLs, Sales, Marketing, Planning, R&D, as well as Portfolio Managers of the different product lines and cover the Gatekeeper function foreseen in GDPEP (Global Development and Product Evolution Proces) and customer acquisition process with focus on technology, platform strategy and cost
Accountable for product pipeline/ tech roadmaps including acquisition release, innovation commercial deliverables and value propositions
Conduct business / competitive intelligence including competitive tech assessments, market product roadmaps, market forecasts and competitor profiles as well as technical and commercial benchmarking

Your profile:

Engineering and consulting/commercial background/experience and relevant professional experience in consulting or in an automotive multinational
Exceptional experience and know-how in several products or technologies related to electric and hybrid drivetrain
Strong strategic and analytical skills such as deriving product and solution trends, defining and structuring problems, driving analysis and “insights”, making strategic recommendations
Experience in working under tough deadlines and conflicting priorities
Collaborative, decision-oriented and ability to drive consensus as well as excellent German and English language communication skills, Chinese is a plus
