The automotive industry is undergoing rapid transformation with new solutions for electric, connected, automated and shared vehicles entering the market at a staggering pace. NVIDIA is at the forefront of this revolution providing the one central technology that will determine future innovations in all these fields: artificial intelligence.
Our solutions to assist automotive OEMs and suppliers include the most powerful hardware to run highly parallelized AI programs, both in the vehicle and in the cloud. NVIDIA’s software provides both building blocks and full-fledged applications for AI systems in the car, not only for autonomous driving, but also for new user experiences. On top of all this, we provide tools and infrastructure to develop new AI-based innovations for the cars.
Work on prototyping solution to Surround View System using Python to aid and guide the System Engineering in aspects like
Requirements Engineering
System Architecture and Design
CV Algorithm prototype
Despite being a prototype the requirements on correctness, sound architecture and design, documentation as well as continuous testing and deployment are not negligible resulting in a full stack development task. We are therefore looking for an intern to support this activity.
What you’ll be doing:
Scout suitable algorithms and libraries to be part of prototype setup.
Develop new features using test driven development
Set up infrastructure for continuous testing (CT) and maintain
Write documentation
What we need to see:
Ongoing or finished studies of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or the like with a focus on computer vision or computer graphics.
Experience in software development using a mainstream programming language, preferably python.
Interest in software engineering aspects like architecture and design, dependency analysis, design for testing and the like.
Fluency in English.
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, proactive, and able to work with a minimum of supervision.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Experience in software engineering aspects like architecture and design, dependency analysis, design for testing and the like.
Experience using python libraries like numpy or openCV.
Experience using kitware’s VTK or similar.
NVIDIA has continuously reinvented itself over two decades.
NVIDIA’s invention of the GPU in 1999 sparked the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI — the next era of computing — with the GPU acting as the brain of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world.
This is our life’s work — to amplify human imagination and intelligence.
With highly competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package, NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers. We have some of the most brilliant and talented people in the world working for us and, due to extraordinary growth, our elite engineering teams are fast-growing fast. If you’re a creative and autonomous engineer with a sincere real passion for technology, we want to hear from you.
