  • Who we are

    HII-TSD is currently seeking a Domain Systems Engineer to support Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Network Systems for a US Government customer at Ramstein AB (Kaiserslautern), Germany. The Domain Systems Engineer will provide engineering, integration, installation, administration, and maintenance support of system, domain, and network infrastructures.

    What you will do

    • Fully support all applicable US Government (USG) and Department of Defense (DoD) programs and policies.
    • Provide installation, support, and maintenance of servers; provide plans for service outages and network interruptions. Provide technical recommendations and develop/implement migration and deployment plans.
    • Analyze capabilities, evaluate performance, identify problems, and take corrective actions. Deploy, sustain, troubleshoot, and repair network infrastructure systems, IP detection systems, and cryptographic equipment.
    • Provide on-site systems architecture, analysis, design and engineering support services for classified, coalition, and unclassified ISR. Monitor performance and maintain network systems and circuits.
    • Assist in preparation of project implementation documentation (technical solutions, project plans, agreements).
    • Provide Communications Security (COMSEC) support in accordance with DoD directives, including the maintenance of the primary site account for all COMSEC materials.
    • Conduct configuration management. Perform fault isolation.
    • Conduct Tier 2 and Tier 3 local admin support to client workstations and servers. Conduct Tier 1 support if client admin is unavailable.
    • Field and maintain central system patching capabilities, and conduct manual patching as needed. Support updates, patches, antivirus, and configuration changes. Respond to unplanned service outages and interruptions.
    • Maintain accountability of all assigned devices/items for systems and networks assigned.

    What you should bring with you

    • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 1 year experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.
    • Proven experience with Microsoft System Administration in an enterprise environment, including Microsoft Certified Server Administrator (MCSA) 2016 or equivalent knowledge.
    • Working knowledge and/or experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V.
    • The ability to prepare professionally written technical documentation, schematics, and diagrams.
    • Clearance- Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI

    Bonus Points for...

    • Recent experience with USAF customers as a systems engineer.
    • Experience with shared storage technologies such as NAS, SAN, or clustered file systems.
    • Working knowledge and/or experience with implementing and maintaining a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
    • Working knowledge and/or experience with managing a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
    • A willingness to continue learning and improving, sometimes in the context of assuming new responsibilities or duties.
