The Director Marketing & E-Commerce DACH will be responsible for leading the marketing strategy for Germany, Austria and Switzerland of MSC Cruises, with a focus on developing digital, innovative marketing communication strategies . The successful candidate will have a proven track record in marketing and digital sales development, brand management, budget planning and team management skills. The Director Marketing will report hierarchically to Managing Directors and functionally to the Chief Marketing Officer Headquarters in Geneva.- University degree with a business or tourism background;
- 5-7 years of professional experience in the field of marketing as well as a digital mindset;
- Travel or consumer goods industry experience considered a major asset;
- Leadership experience, sales affinity as well as self-motivation and strong analytical skills in the field of digital marketing;
- Professional experience in campaign management, business process management, CRM or comparable activities;
- Strengths in communication, establishing contacts and presentation in an international context;
- Flexibility and a team player mentality;
- Fluent in written and spoken German and English;
- Leading the marketing & e-commerce team in Germany, Austria and Switzerland;
- Define marketing strategy, objectives and priorities, coordinate and execute the local market marketing plans to accelerate growth;
- To support the local e-commerce business focusing on the increase of direct customer business, suggesting a customer acquisition strategy and analyzing competition activity;
- Develop an annual marketing plan to meet agreed company objectives;
- Budget planning and allocation of resources according to the business priorities and overall strategy;
- Media planning and buying;
- Develop a content strategy for owned and paid communications channels;
- Partnerships: new partnerships and possibilities to increase business by reaching new targets;
- Keeps contact with media partners to evaluate new advertising opportunities and manages all aspects of campaign production, distribution and effectiveness;
- Monitors and shares competitors case studies/best practices;
- Brand management and increase of brand awareness;
- Perform marketing controlling (analytics) in order to ensure impact and value of marketing efforts;
- Steering and governance of B2B marketing incl. co-marketing planning and control;
- Trade fair and event management;
- Right to work in Germany;
