The gamigo group is one of the leading publishers of online games in Europe and North America and focuses on publishing, operating and support of online and mobile games.

Counting over 300 employees in Germany, Poland, South Korea and USA, gamigo is one of the most important players in the gaming industry.

The gamigo group currently has a portfolio consisting of over 25 massively multiplayer online games and more than 5.000 casual games. The game selection includes first-person shooters, fantasy RPGs, building-strategy games, mobile- and casual-games.

Since the company’s founding in 2000, this diverse portfolio has been build-up through company acquisitions, purchasing of game licenses as well as worldwide publishing rights.

Part of the gamigo group are gamigo AG, gamigo Publishing GmbH, Aeria Games GmbH, gamigo Portals GmbH, gamigo US Inc., gamigo Inc. and Kings Isle Entertainment Inc.

Your tasks
We need support at our location in Berlin and are looking for an experienced Director M&A (f/m/d) to support our current and future growth strategy and to help us identify M&A opportunities.

YOUR TASKS

Origination and execution of potential acquisitions and other strategic projects

  • Managing the entire transaction life-cycle process of M&A projects (research, company analysis, negotiations, valuation, due diligence, project management)
  • Strategy development for gaming and media (deal origination, market entry strategies)
  • Market screening to identify strategic opportunities and drive business growth
  • Competitive benchmarking / analysis of business models and ecosystems
  • Taking part in the development of integration plans and post-closing performance tracking
  • Identify and develop strong relationships with sourcing partners (for example investment bankers; industry players; investors; investment funds; startups; etc.) that can drive opportunities to the gamigo group
  • Interact with internal stakeholders to evaluate and execute the projects

Requirements*

  • Bachelor and / or Master degree (MBA) or equivalent
  • 5 years of professional experience in corporate development, venture capital, private equity, investment banking and in product management in the gaming, media or technology industry
  • You have a solid knowledge of accounting (IFRS/HGB) and a very good knowledge in the creation of financial models
  • Strong and target oriented negotiator with the power to motivate others
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills and a solution oriented working style and an entrepreneurial way of thinking
  • You combine a high willingness to learn and perform as well as a confident appearance with an independent and structured way of working
  • Native level German and fluent English (oral and written)
