Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in operational, process improvement and analytics.
  • Ability to work in the scan centre up to 5 days a week.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Analytical and/or technical skills related to production systems
  • Passion for operational excellence, and practical sense of how to drive improvements.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills exhibited in complex operational settings.

About The Job

At gTech’s Users and Products team (gUP), our mission is to help users get the most out of Google. We represent the voice of Google’s users and many of our partners globally, sharing insights with the larger Google organization to enable exceptional customer and product experiences.

gUP builds innovative solutions that take user experience and engagement with Google to the next level, supporting users across products, countries, cultures, incomes, and identities. We advocate for users through partnerships with product areas at Google (and some Alphabet businesses), supporting Google’s consumer products ecosystem and enabling numerous launches for Google’s consumer products each year.

Digitization Services “unlocks the world’s offline information through digitization at any scale.” In other words, we digitize content for products, including Google Book Search, Google Arts and Culture, YouTube, and Google Health, helping users around the world get easier access to more information. We also support the development of ML techniques for more available and accurate healthcare. As Digitization Services, we plan, set up, and manage industrial-scale facilities and develop and manage logistics between scan centers and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operations of large workforces in our scan centers and smaller deployments at our partners.
  • Work on a new and undefined emerging projects that increase the scope of our digitization offerings.
  • Identify, prioritize, and drive process improvement activities and cost reductions.
  • Develop and support processes, systems, tools and and standard operating procedures for all our operations.
