You will become Business IT Leader “Systems and Markets” (Head* of BT Systems and Markets) - one of the 3 business domains within the new Business Technology Organization. This domain is primarily tasked to delivering IT value to business stakeholders and processes related to operating the electricity system and enabling the energy market.
You will closely collaborate with Business to make sure IT delivers the best results for TenneT by coordinating end-to-end value streams within your business domain. You will develop a business roadmap to align with Business and TenneT leadership on OKR’s, KPI’s, budget and prioritization of initiatives. Simultaneously, you will lead and inspire a team of talented people.

Your contribution to TenneT
Manage E2E value streams through business roadmaps
- Co-develop a strategy business roadmap in alignment with the other units and communicate this with the team
- Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs), preparing a QBR document
- Shape backlog: define and continuously prioritize strategic direction and epics
- Manage expectations of all stakeholders, including Business
- Manage the business domain budget
- Participate in planning, definition and high-level design of solutions; assist teams to identify the right technologies and ensure sound architectural decisions
- Work with team leads and team members to ensure support model is considered and modelled as part of the design process
- Support teams in adhering to architecture & engineering governance and control processes
- Create an atmosphere of confidence and trust in the business domain and engage members to deliver on the defined purpose & priorities
- Have role model mindset & behaviours as a servant leader
- Make proposals on the business domain’s composition and headcount

- Seen as an expert of the tech landscape in the respective business domain
- Have experience in managing tech dependencies across the IT landscape
Your profile and background
As a senior IT expert with a strong business acumen and people management skills:
- You have a background in IT execution, understand modern architecture patterns, the digital technology space, and are capable of simplifying and decoupling legacy systems. You are familiar with information security and risk management. You are experienced with control rooms, SCADA systems, certifications, high availability systems. You have experience in setting up and executing large programs, incl. transformation of complex IT landscapes.
- You have a strong business acumen and know how to create value in your business domain through business roadmaps and continuous prioritization.
- You have experience in people management (~200 FTE) and are a clear and inspiring communicator, enabling engineering teams to deliver and support business solutions efficiently, being the bridge between IT and Business.
Furthermore:
- You have a degree in Computer Science or related field, or a clear affinity with Computer Science
- You have at least 10+ years of experience in a comparable job
- You are fluent in English, German and/or Dutch is an advantage
This is a 100% dedicated role to lead engineering competency & practices within a business domain, and to support realization of business objectives.

- Start date is negotiable
- The weekly working hours are 36-40 hours
- Your contract will be indefinite
- This position is offered in hay21 (max 14.671 euro gross per month)
