What You’ll Do

Our Consulting Associate Directors are responsible for high-level project delivery and oversight along with client relationship management. You will manage teams, and advise clients at the highest strategic level on both big-picture and tactical matters, focusing on how technology enables a wide range of business outcomes.

You Will Be Responsible For
  • Developing, building and enhancing the Gartner brand with security leaders across our clients
  • Building, enhancing and maintaining your own brand in the security profession and amongst your peers
  • Involvement in all aspects of the consulting sales cycle from lead qualification through to delivery assurance of security engagements
  • Having the ability to support selling of security consulting engagements
  • Being a subject matter expert in at least one core security domain (e.g. IAM, SOC, Strategy or Security Architecture)
  • Managing the coordination and communicating of key findings and results of engagements supervising written reports and oral presentations to senior client management and key senior stakeholders.
  • Assisting the Practice Solution Lead including recruitment, and development.
  • Maintaining an expertise and currency in industry leading cybersecurity technologies (e.g., SIEM, UEBA, CASB, EDR…)
  • Managing the delivery of board-level engagement reports and presenting key findings to board-level executives and stakeholders.
  • Managing and mentoring all junior Gartner consultants assigned as members of engagements
  • Developing, building and maintaining board-level client relationships.
  • Contributing to the development of project management, quality assurance and professional consulting and auditing approaches/methodologies.
What You’ll Need
  • Experience within a well-regarded management consultancy in a project delivery capacity. Sales experience would be a plus
  • Prior technical security exposure and experience in a problem-solving capacity such as a solution/technical architect or consultant preferred
  • Experience working with multiple IT security solutions
  • Ideally experience working with clients
  • A consistent track record of leading people and building high-performing teams that leverage technology to drive the mission-critical priorities of commercial or government entities
  • An ability to inspire and motivate professionals from both technical and non-technical backgrounds towards a common goal
  • An unwavering commitment to the success of your team, and willingness to provide constructive/ corrective action when needed
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and the creative development of solutions and strategies to solve client problems. Must adapt Gartner frameworks and methodologies to strike at the heart of a client’s most pressing business challenges
  • An ability to be hands-on and to manage multiple client priorities simultaneously
  • Engineering or other advanced degree preferred
  • Relevant security qualifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM)
