Do you have experience as a Team Lead, Manager or Supervisor and want to be part of the supermarket revolution? Stop looking, we are looking for you! As an Assistant Warehouse Manager at Picnic, also known as Warehouse Supervisor, you have the opportunity to work in an innovative start-up culture where everything you do matters. You are responsible for the daily operations in our Fulfillment Center (FC) by being an essential element in the process of the customers receiving their groceries on time! Next to that, you are working on improvement projects to increase the efficiency in the FC. Thereby, you can contribute to the success of one of the fastest-growing companies in Europe!

What Happens In Our FCs

Picnic is dedicated to each customer. For us it is of high importance that every single customer gets the perfect Picnic-experience - easy and cost-efficient grocery shopping that makes your everyday life a bit easier. Therefore, we collect thousands of groceries in the FCs every day, send them to our Hubs (local distribution centers) and finally to our customers’ doorsteps. Sometimes more than 250 people are working in one FC. Together we pursue the same goal: To deliver the best products to our customers every day.

Tasks
  • Supervise and support workflow and day-to-day operations in the Picnic Fulfilment Center
  • Ensure all operational activities are prioritized and completed in a timely manner
  • Make short-term action plans to achieve targets with respect to long-term goals
  • Work with other Warehouse Managers to make logistical brilliance a reality
  • Coordinate a team of Captains, Flow / Receipt Operators and truck drivers
  • Motivate, coach, and inspire a team of 120+ colleagues
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master degree in the field of logistics, supply chain, business or similar
  • Ideally experience in warehouse management
  • First leadership experience
  • Stress resistance: You don’t break a sweat and you meet deadlines
  • Hands-on mentality: Independent, thorough and goal-oriented
  • You’re a quick thinker and can analyze a problem in no-time
  • Willingness to work during evening- and some weekend shifts
  • Open and confident communication with colleague
  • Fluent German and English skills
