We are looking for an Air Navigation Data specialist (m/f/d) who will support the BGS in designing and implementing growth and expansion strategies to serve new internal and external markets and deliver innovative digital solutions to our customers throughout the entire aviation industry, commercial, business and military.
You will be a Navigation data specialist Subject Matter Expert with a focus on digital Navigation data (SME), with the capability to develop innovative approach to collect and standardize worldwide data sets. Your experience enables you to understand and translate business requirements into clearly defined, detailed and qualitative software requirement for development team. You also work with external supplier such as ANSPs or AIM software providers for that matter.
Responsibilities:
- Support the team to build a worldwide digital air navigation data hub.
- Supports the team to identify business objectives, formulates and communicate the business vision and understand internal and external customer need trends.
- Responsible for defining, refining, and documenting business requirements and user stories of the proposed minimal viable product
- Support benchmarking and evaluating external software solutions.
- Support designing and implementing work process in coordination with quality and compliance department.
- Interacts with project stakeholders to clarify and define product and system requirements associated with the proposed solution, including translation of business requirements into technical requirements as an interactive process throughout the project lifecycle
- Analyzes and documents differences between different aeronautical information data sets
- Interacts with technical AIP/AIXM data supplier, system architect, developers and software testers to ensure business requirements are fully understood, implemented, and validated. Executes user acceptance and scenario testing
- Contributes to risk, defects, and issue management in an agile environment
Basic Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Aeronautical information.
- Good understanding of Data bases and data management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficient in Business English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor in the fields of geo-informatics, Informatics, Aeronautics or Air navigation and an additional 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of 5 years of education and relevant experience in air navigation or airline operation center.
- Master in Geo-Informatics, Computer Science, Informatics, Aerospace Engineering or Master in Business Administration.
- Aviation or Airline industry experience is a plus
- GIS knowledge is a plus
- Experience in the successful launch of a data products and set up of production line.
- Entrepreneurial initiative with a strong ‘hands-on’ mentality, loves getting things done
- Motivated by an international and fast-paced work environment with a strong team spirit and motivational character
- Excels in building cohesive multi-cultural teams through innovation, customer focus, design thinking and professional collaboration
- Ability to push boundaries while maintaining a well-structured way of working in a small team and a collaborative environment amongst business partners
