Fleet and Remarketing Operations Manager

About The Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team in Germany as a Fleet and Remarketing Operations Manager. This hybrid role combines the responsibilities of managing our demonstration vehicle fleet and overseeing all operations related to used cars and remarketing activities.

As a Fleet and Remarketing Operations Manager, you will be accountable for ensuring the efficient management and showcasing of our demonstration vehicles across Europe while also coordinating the logistics, intake, and refurbishment of our used car inventory. This role requires a combination of logistical expertise, communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

Fleet Management

  • Develop and implement strategies for the effective management of the demo car fleet, including acquisition, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to plan the defleeting process for used cars, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Regularly assess and update the fleet to ensure it aligns with the latest models and features offered by the company.

Maintenance and Inspections

  • Collaborate with service departments to schedule regular maintenance and inspections for all demo vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal condition for client presentations.
  • Oversee repairs and warranty claims, working closely with authorized service centers.

Documentation and Compliance

  • Maintain accurate records of each demo and used vehicle, including service history, insurance information, and registration details.
  • Ensure all vehicles comply with local regulations, emissions standards, and inspection requirements.

Logistics and Scheduling

  • Coordinate the delivery and pick-up of demo vehicles for client presentations and events.
  • Coordinate the delivery, pick-up, and logistics of demo and used vehicles and used cars for client presentations, events, and refurbishment processes.
  • Optimize scheduling to maximize the utilization of vehicles for promotional purposes and refurbishment activities.

Operational Excellence

  • Train staff on presenting vehicle features during client demonstrations and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align the fleet with promotional campaigns.
  • Define standards for inspection, damage evaluation, and refurbishment processes in collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Drive operational excellence by developing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for fleet and operations.

Budget Management and Analysis

  • Develop and manage budgets for the demo car fleet and used car operations, including expenses related to maintenance, fuel, refurbishment, and logistics.
  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of the demo car fleet and used car operations in contributing to sales, brand awareness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to management regarding fleet and used car performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.

Required Skills, Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in fleet management, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of automotive technology and features.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong written and verbal German and English skills.
