Brand New Executive Assistant role! Private Equity division of a leading Global Asset Management Firm, Frankfurt

We have just taken on an incredible new role for an Executive Assistant at one of the world’s largest asset management firms! This is the first time the role has existed in the Private Equity division of the Frankfurt office and because of that, it comes with lots of exciting opportunities. They are looking for someone to bring knowledge of the Private Equity industry with them and make the position their own, as the team in Frankfurt expands over the next few years. You will primarily be supporting one of the firm’s busiest principals and two other investment professionals. The firm has offices throughout Europe whose teams you’ll be communicating with on a regular basis so, the successful candidate must be able to speak German fluently and English to a high professional level.

The client

The firm are global leaders in the Private Equity sector and have entrusted us to provide them with the very best executive support staff throughout their offices in Europe for many years. Their business-wide principles underpin everything they do, and they are looking for someone who is able to join their team and mirror these values every day. The firm’s Frankfurt offices are growing and whilst they currently have a small number of employees, they are focussed on expanding their private equity team, with roles moving to Frankfurt from the larger London office.

The role

As this is the first role of its kind within the firm’s Private Equity sector in Frankfurt, you will be working independently to support the Private Equity principal, two junior professionals and from time-to-time, some senior managing directors visiting locally. The role involves a full range of administrative duties and will include:

  • Extensive diary management including coordination of meetings across time zones
  • Organising international travel arrangements
  • Handling and coordinating calls, including those on video calling platforms
  • Working with the EAs in the London office
  • Working with the marketing team
  • Legal administrative tasks
  • Use of Salesforce and other IT systems

The candidate

The firm are looking for someone who has previously worked in the Private Equity industry or has a similar professional background. Working as an Executive Assistant within investment banking is also highly desirable. The candidate needs to be someone who is a self-starter and is able to work at a fast pace whilst being conscientious and having an eye for detail.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with strong competency of Microsoft Outlook is essential. Advanced professional English and fluency in German is essential as the firm will require you to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. Additional European languages and experience of living and working abroad in the past are attractive qualities to the firm.
