The Chief of Development Assistant will support the Chief of Development in his role as :
  • The Chief of Development is responsible for the end-to-end technical development of a train-project (up to validation & certification) in accordance with the project strategy fulfilling both contractual technical requirements and defined engineering & project QCD objectives, and leveraging existing Alstom platforms.
  • The Chief of Development takes care to design and implement a technical definition which fully meets Project Performances (Q), Product cost (C) and scheduling (during development phase) commitments.
  • The Chief of Development will manage cross-functionally project technical activities and stakeholders at train and Sub-System levels. He/she will endorse design authority and related decisions or trade-offs.

Key Accountabilities - Chief of Development Assistant :
  • Generate transparency on interactions with the customer
  • With Chief of Development and Project Engineering Team
  • Support to generate the visibility on Train level Performance & Architecture and Work Package Status
  • Support to allocate technical and QCD objectives leveraging existing Alstom platforms
  • Coordination and monitoring of cross-functional objectives, activities and deliverables, Development Planning and Configuration Management for sub-scopes
  • Support on Manag ing technical risks thanks to mitigation plans incl. moderating separate task forces on specific technical issues
  • Generating reporting inputs on project technical and QCD status
  • Competencies & Skills – Chief of Development Assistan:
  • Strong interest do develop skills between general management, technical management and project management
  • leadership and ability to federate teams on technical orientations to reach QCD targets
  • Demonstrated capacity to lead cross-functional activities
  • Ability to support analysis, problem-solving and efficient decision-making in complex environment
  • Ability to work across sites in a multi-cultural environment
