We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer with a pioneering spirit. You will be part of an agile team that is working on the technical foundation and continuous improvement of the online entertainment music and video streaming. You will be helping to drive the project forward and taking ownership of the technical direction the team chooses. Helping to create structure and an outline with a clear horizon to work towards.
The Project
We develop the next generation of infotainment software for the car. Our project is part of the vision of entertainment in Mercedes cars. We make entertainment content from different providers available in passenger cars. Our goal is to integrate music and video into the head unit and rear seat unit to delight our customers. We develop the interface in the car and the backend in tandem to provide the driver with a seamless entertainment solution.
Your Responsibilities
- Development of production grade user interface software for next generation apps running inside the car
- Software design and architecture definition, interface definition and maintenance
- Integration of software modules and build artifacts with other components on different embedded platforms, analysis of integration results
- Implementation, integration, testing, and release of the developed scopes
- Coordination of technical software implementation and product development plan with internal and external development partners
- Improvement of your own competencies, as well as the existing processes and team development methods
- Participating fully in the development process through the entire software lifecycle
- Facilitate good technical designs and solutions
Qualifications
Here’s what you bring with you:
- Completed degree in computer science, information technology, communication technology, or a comparable qualification
- Experience in UI or middleware software development is a must
- Several years of experience and excellent coding sills in Qt, Qml
- Experience in C++
- Experience in software development using agile methods
- Knowledge of test-driven development
- Familiarity with CI tools and test automation
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps and K8s are nice to have
