Technical Manager / Hardware Project Owner (f/m/d)
In this position you will be responsible for the technical product development of one of our automotive User Experience products. This includes the latest generations of infotainment or driver-monitoring systems. The projects range from a few 20 to 300 employees. The scope of your responsibility ranges from customer contact, electrical and mechanical development, supplier management to test and validation planning as well as production rollout of the products.
Your Role:
Technical customer communication of the project
Carrying out design reviews
Developing solutions to systematic, cross-project and/or cross-competency technical problems
Collaborate with stakeholders (Customer, Platform Owner, System Lead, System Architect, and Product Owner) to
Identify needs and requirements
Create capability roadmaps
Break down capabilities into features
Create acceptance criteria for features
Understand scope and need of architecture roadmaps and work with architects and platform owners to unlock key technologies.
Collaborate with release management to define customer releases and solution progress.
Use metrics to track project progress.
Visible participation in demos and technical progress presentations to stakeholders.
Other Responsibilities:
Responsibility for successful completion of project/platform milestone reviews and PI checks.
Support Supplier Managers in the implementation of supplier deliverables.
Identify, report, and escalate resource issues in the current project.
Your Qualifications:
University degree (TU/TH/FH) Dipl.-Ing or Master in electrical engineering/communications engineering or comparable
Several years of professional experience in automotive development (EE, mechanics, system and/or SW)
Broad technical knowledge in the area of Active Safety or User Experience
System knowledge of automotive products (system integration/networking) desirable
Project management skills: Estimation, planning, goal setting and achievement.
Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to present complex issues in a simplified manner
Strong customer focus, understanding of market and technology trends
Knowledge and experience in applying agile methodologies such as scrum or similar
Team player
Conflict resolution skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects in parallel
People management skills and constructive feedback
Fluent in written and spoken German and English
Willingness to travel worldwide
