We´re looking for an experienced Strategic HR Business Partner for our distribution center in Bad Hersfeld who will help us take the site and our people to the next level.
The purpose of this role is to work in close partnership with the Supply Chain Leadership and Management team based in Bad Hersfeld to drive the people agenda in support of all Supply Chain initiatives. The role will work closely with other stakeholders in the People Team (strong ties to Germany Frankfurt People Team) to ensure continued alignment with the global People strategy that will enable the delivery of the global business strategy. The role includes aligning the People strategy to the business objectives, driving high performance as a culture, driving development, succession planning, diversity & inclusion, employee relations including works council management and relationships, engagement and retention while ensuring on-going compliance with regulations.
What you will enjoy doing to be successful in this role:
- With a clear understanding of the Supply Chain strategic direction and plan, work in partnership with the VP of People and the leadership team of Bad Hersfeld to implement the global People strategy and functional people plan. Responsible for highlighting any local challenges that may occur (legal or cultural) and work with appropriate stakeholders to mitigate where possible
- Understand how Supply Chain operates and the future capability requirements to make recommendations on longer term initiatives required to support the business strategy
- Work closely with the Works Council on site ensuring all works council agreements are managed in line with group regulations. Manage any other Works Council activity that may be required on a day to day basis.
- Contribute and provide local input into to the development of the people plan and internal employee engagement activities. Ensure effective implementation of any local elements of the overall functional plan including any change and reorganisation activity that may be required; implementing processes and structures, driving a high performing culture, focus on diversity & including and talent development
- Work closely to the Germany People Team based in Frankfurt and ensure that a good working relationship is in place
- Manage and oversee all People related administration (e.g. contracts, changes, sickness, etc) as required in line with company process and standards
- Ensure functional leadership are developing robust succession plans and developing key talent in line with global plan
- Coach and support line managers in terms of people skills and general HR practices
- Working with the People function Centres of Excellence and any other providers to ensure excellent delivery of training and development interventions, recruitment and selection, reward and recognition.
- Ensuring all metrics are in place such as training, attendance, sickness, turnover and are regularly reviewed and monitored
- Manage all annual processes such as bonus, talent reviews, performance review, pay review, etc
- Manage and develop a small Team of PEOPLE and other administrational tasks
- Experience of change management projects including driving a high-performance culture
- Supply Chain experience is not essential however similar industries such as manufacturing, distribution, logistics would be essential
- Strong organisational design and change management skills required
- Customer-focused with demonstrated ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization
- Leadership skills with the ability to influence and align others towards the strategy and vision
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence across the organisation and proactive engagement of internal and external stakeholders
- Previous experience of works councils and trade unions is essential
- Able to navigate in adverse situations showing composure and strong judgement
- Confidently makes tough decisions, balancing analysis with decisiveness
- Experience of working internationally within a matrix organisation
- Ability to demonstrate an agile and commercial approach
- Ability to deliver simple solutions to complex problems
- Comfortable with data, analysis and the ability to interrogate data to drive insight
- Ability to work collaboratively with peers and across teams to ensure effective delivery of the strategy
