Job Description


Mixed Reality by Brainlab deepens insights into patient anatomy. With a head-mounted display, this software frees patient data from the 2D screen and brings it into the operating room. Surgeons can move around and interact with medical data as never before. Mixed reality is part of the Viewer software application, a windows-based software used for medical image review in hospitals all around the world. For our R&D Viewer team at Brainlab we are looking for a Software Engineer. You will be part of a fast-paced and motivated team that develops software solutions for medical image viewing on desktop computers, surgical navigation systems and mixed reality glasses. The position will give you the chance to be part of a creative solution to real products with disruptive technologies. Your expertise has an immediate impact on the daily work in hospitals around the world.

Your main tasks will be to

  • contribute to concepts of Mixed Reality for surgical applications
  • gain software engineering expertise in the medical world
  • contribute to the application development of the successful DICOM Viewer (C++ application with HTML5/Javascript frontend)
  • Be creative!

Qualifications
  • Background in Computer Science, Computer Visualization or similar
  • Strong interest and good skills in object-oriented programming in C++
  • Eagerness to be part of a high-skilled team where your talent can grow
  • You feel comfortable in an agile software development environment or are interested in developing the skills required
  • Good communication skills and motivation to collaborate with team members
  • Knowledge and experience in medical device development processes is a plus
