YOUR FUTURE ROLE

We are seeking a (Senior) User Assistance (UA) Developer / Technical Writer (f/m/d) in SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud. In this role, you’ll be part of the development team, working closely with Product Owners, Products Designers, Software Developers, and Release Managers. As a (Senior) User Assistance Developer your responsibilities cover the entire product process from product design to product release. We jointly make sure user assistance is an essential asset of our product.

• Collaborates and communicates with internal and external stakeholders such as product owners, architects, developers, customers, and partners to drive the innovation of UA concepts and deliverables through, for example, customer engagement activities, social media, usability tests, and feedback channels
• Creates user assistance (UA) deliverables that enable users to deploy, integrate, administer, and use SAP software, and/or coordinates the creation of these UA deliverables. UA deliverables include, but are not limited to, terminology, UI texts, guides, multimedia, scripts, context-sensitive help, learning journeys and tutorials
• Applies all relevant SAP standards and guidelines for the given product/area, and ensures UA deliverables are aligned with them, as well as with the content architecture. Actively provides feedback on these standards and guidelines using the appropriate channels
• Prepares content for delivery, including the provision of metadata, following the standard production process. May carry out the production process
• Plans and coordinates the UA deliverables and milestones for a product area or a larger project, as applicable
  

YOUR PROFILE

• University degree (for example, in technical communication or a related subject, such as languages, translation, or media and communication studies)
• Proven ability to create content in all formats with excellent written and spoken English and German as well as the ability to express complex technical information in a clear and precise manner with outstanding communication, writing, and grammar skills
• 3+ years of professional experience in User Assistance Development
• Experience working with the DITA CMS authoring environment
