Finance Systems Transformation is responsible for running SHAPE+- a DHL Group cross-divisional Finance transformation program. SHAPE+ aims at driving standardization and automation of core Accounting and Cost Accounting processes across Business Units and its consolidation into ONE SAP S/4HANA Finance ERP platform. This will significantly increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our Finance set-up and is the necessary basis for the continuous transformation and digitalization of the DHL Group Finance organization.

Within the SHAPE+ organization, the Program, Deployment & Change Management team is responsible for the central program management of the transformation program, the overall execution and management of the platform deployment, the definition and governance of the project methodology, training, and enablement of the teams as well as the overall change management and communication. It is complemented by Process Owners and ERP Platform Designers in the central team as well as the Divisions, who are responsible for the actual deployment in the entities.

As the Senior Project Manager in Data Migration (f/m/x), you will be in the driver’s seat, orchestrating a data transformation journey. Your canvas will be the SAP ERP Finance Transformation Program, where you will lead a cross-functional team of Data Migration professionals towards seamless data migration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ownership of Data Migration execution: Take end-to-end ownership of the data migration process and delivery in a scaled setup, ensuring timely result execution, smooth data transition, and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and empower a diverse team of data migration professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment that drives high performance, growth and continuous improvement.
  • Governance and Methodology: Define and enforce data migration governance standards, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and program guidelines. Conceptualize and refine the data migration methodology and tools, to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and compliance of the team delivery.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks during the delivery, ensure smooth data migration, deployment and also cut-over execution, guaranteeing on-time delivery.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner closely with senior stakeholders across IT and Finance to align the data migration strategy with the overarching program goals. Provide insights that inform decision-making and drive transformative change.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging post-migration analysis to refine the approach and process, enhance data quality, and optimize future deployment activities and methodology.


Your profile


  • Managerial skills, with hands-on ability to ensure delivery excellence and reliable execution.
  • Track-record in leading and inspiring cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment, globally.
  • Conceptual skills, with a focus on pragmatic solutions, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven project experience in leading large-scale transformations with SAP ERP, ideally Finance.
  • Strong understanding of SAP ERP systems and finance processes and data model beneficial.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
