As a Senior Manager Business Development you will be expected to guide and contribute to high visibility projects within the Corporate Development Team. In this function, you will play a key role in shaping Zalando’s priorities and addressing key business questions in the constantly moving environment of fashion tech.
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED

• Identify, evaluate, prepare and execute strategic value creation opportunities which can serve as a catalyst for the development of the company; prioritize major opportunities and challenges, and develop detailed strategic recommendations for senior leadership and the Management Board
• Support the business in evaluating and executing transformatory business development and change projects
• Provide valuable input to the Group Strategy process; generate actionable insights on innovation, competition and general market developments to fuel the company with new ideas; develop an end to end understanding of the company by building relationships across the organization
• Steer cross-functional project teams in the Corporate Development Team
  
  

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or equivalent; 7+ years of experience as a consultant in a top tier strategy consulting firm and/or in core strategic/commercial role in a large corporation, preferably in the ecommerce/fashion/tech environment
• Problem solving and outstanding diagnostic skills, top-notch project management, capable of managing senior stakeholders
• Affinity for numbers, feeling very comfortable calculating business cases, and an understanding of online business models and current industry trends
• Excellent written and oral communication skills (in English); track record of influencing senior leaders and teams to make impactful and potentially controversial decisions
• Pro-active and action-oriented team player, highly organized, self-directed and motivated, with a passion to help junior team members develop
