What we are looking for
  • Provide profound legal advice, coordination and leadership with respect to, in particular, the following areas:
    • M&A transactions
    • Joint Ventures and other cooperations
    • International project initiatives undertaken by the Uniper Group
    • Corporate Financing (including bond programmes, cash pool arrangements)
    • Acquisition and Project Financing for national and international projects
    • Financial regulation in relation to financing projects and initiatives
    • Pension schemes
  • Support, represent and advise the Senior Vice President in functionally leading, coordinating and supervising the International Law and Global Trading department to ensure the most efficient task allocation while maintaining business continuity and a high quality of legal support for various topics and internal clients
  • Actively coordinate across the entire International Law & Global Trading team and throughout the broader legal & compliance function to ensure the highest quality support for the Uniper business
  • Manage cross-functional teams as needed in support of Uniper Group projects and initiatives
  • Manage and mitigate legal, regulatory and compliance risks within the respective area of responsibility
  • Coordinate engagement of external lawyers

Who we are seeking

  • Fully qualified attorney (f/m/d) with outstanding academic credentials required
  • Several years of experience in a similar/related field
  • Ability to build and foster strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
  • High level of integrity and trust, excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good and experienced negotiator: being able to mediate and negotiate with internal & external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical mind-set and structured working style accompanied by a pragmatic approach and an ability to set priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and persuasiveness
  • Perseverance, self-initiative, assertiveness and cooperativeness
  • Fluent in written and spoken English (and preferably German)
