Job Purpose/Role

You are interested in joining a global team and support it with your data modelling experience? You want to take on the challenge of shaping the new central risk modelling team within Allianz Risk Consulting at AGCS? You want to work in a fast-paced environment? Join us and work together with experienced data engineers and in collaboration with actuaries who develop, drive and implement best-in-class risk exposure assessment methodologies and tools across all Lines of Businesses (LoBs).

Experience modern tools, driven by a wide variety of data sources ranging from internal data to external feeds like ship tracking that is processed on a state-of-the-art, cloud-based infrastructure.

As a Data Engineer, you will work together with many different motivated and smart people as well as the leadership team of AGCS. You will collaborate with the ARC Head of Underwriting Excellence, various internal stakeholders from ARC (Analytics team, Global Line of Business Heads, Risk Engineers), Underwriting, Pricing Actuaries and Data Engineers from the Global Data Office in AGCS.

In this role, you will…
  • Determine the quality of risk and enable exposure management per Line of Business by building semi-automated risk assessment models
  • Increase the coverage of Risk Assessments in AGCS’ Underwriting portfolio through the utilization of external data sources
  • Automate data collection process in close alignment with Pricing Actuaries and other inhouse Data Engineers
  • Provide Allianz Risk Consulting and Underwriting full transparency of included elements/drivers in risk assessment model to ensure proper consideration
  • Identify and obtain required data from business stakeholders and translate business requirements into a working code
  • Create a centralized data lake from different internal and external data systems together with IT and other analytics stakeholders
  • Solve some of the most relevant business problems within Allianz Risk Consulting and Underwriting
