Are you an ambitious Senior Data Engineer, with lots of passion for data processing and transformation? At Webfleet Solutions we are looking for the best and finest minds in data engineering to contribute and lead our efforts to structure vehicle telemetry, fleet behaviour and telematic data.

As a member of a cross functional team, including data scientists and engineers, you will be responsible for building up and maintaining a steady inflow of data, ensuring and facilitating that productization as well as exploration of data opportunities will materialize as part of our Line of Business Data Solutions and Innovations.

Here is a little taste of your challenge:

• Creating, improving and maintaining of our data pipeline architecture to create complex datasets. Implement and oversee quality metrices to ensure and preserve the business value
• Proposing technical concepts to handle and process data generated internally and externally enabling advanced analytics and new products
• Continuously look for improvements, increased scalability and automation of manual processes to accelerate consolidation and insight generation for hundreds of millions different data sets.
• Making sure data is separated, secured and meeting local as well as international data security and privacy standards such as GDPR, CCPA and other.
• Working closely with data scientist and analysts as well as software engineers in the field of telematic and other data to create a data pipeline and infrastructure and leverage business growth from it.
  

Who are you?

There is no set route to become our new Senior Data Engineer. But to be successful in this role, this is the kind of profile we have in mind:

• You have at least 6 years’ hands-on experience with building and optimizing reliable, scalable, mission critical data pipelines in a production environment.
• You have hands on experience on Azure
• You have profound knowledge and experience with Python,
• You have experience with setting up a data infrastructure
• Advanced knowledge and experience in SQL and relational as well as non-relational data bases.
• Personal must-haves: analytic mind, achievement orientation, sense of quality, flexible thinking and good communication skills. You are a self-driven team player with entrepreneurial touch and a passion for good software engineering and automation.
• Control of other development, scripting, and mark-up languages as for example XML, XSD, WSDL, Bash will be of advantage
• You have experience with as many as possible of the following: design patterns, ETL principles and best practises, interface contracts and interface stability, design and programming by contract, variant management.
