The independent, scientific processing of the data will, in particular, involve the following tasks:

  • Exploration and testing of different AI methods for processing anonymised data
  • Development of methods for the data protection-compliant provision and merging of data to or from different sources/organisations with different rights
  • Implementation of a modular set of different AI and ML methods, and integration into a demonstrator for recording and forecasting commuter flows; evaluation of the methods
  • Preparation of research results, also in the form of scientific articles, reports and presentations, primarily in English
  • Preparation of research proposals

Conditions governing the appointment:

  • Successful completion of a scientific degree focusing on computer science, AI or ML
  • The ability to work independently on complex scientific issues
  • A good command of English
  • Proven experience in AI or ML
  • A high degree of independence, good communication skills and the ability to work in a team

The position involves part-time employment (50%) and is for a fixed term until 14 November 2025. Remuneration is in accordance with pay grade 13 of the Public Sector Collective Agreement for the Federal States (TV-L). There is the option of pursuing a cooperative doctorate.
