• Bachelor Degree or equivalent and 5+ years experience in management consulting, product management, business development, retail, FMCG or e-commerce in an international, fast paced environment. • Strong analytical and technical ability including creative problem solving. • Experience in business case decision-making, complex problem-solving capabilities and high level of attention to details. • Proven ability to influence others without having positional authority. • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written • Advanced in Excel, VBA, Marcos • Advanced in SQL/C++, Python, or any other programming languages
Amazon Transportation Services Europe (ATS EU) is a high-powered creative team which is shaping the transportation planning and execution within the Middle Mile operations network. This team develops and applies innovative transportation management concepts to improve and enhance the transportation network and bring the best customer experience through reliability and cost efficiencies. The EU ATS Network Operations (NetOps) team is looking for Program Manager, Transportation Capacity. In this role, you will be part of the central EU ATS Network Operations team with close interaction to our ATS Supply Chain teams, Sort Center, Freight and tech departments around the world. As Sr Program Manager, you will lead a variety of large-scale initiatives to innovate our transportation capacity and execution processes. You will work on highly ambiguous and complex problems to deliver actionable results and collaborate with other teams to maximize impact. You will work towards scoping and defining the relevant business insights and opportunities aiming to automate several different use-cases long term. You will need to leverage large datasets and analytical researches to influence teams’ understanding. The role is inherently cross-functional and the responsibilities include working across organizations and engaging with other Program Managers, Senior Leadership from Sort Centers. The role is based in Munich, Luxembourg, or London. Job summary: • Own end to end initiatives, aiming to transform processes related to our Amazon transportation and labor planning • Independently own the designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining the large scale projects. • Partner with operations, product and technology teams to document the standard operations processes and take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments and among the network. • Work closely with stakeholders to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their areas • Establish operations metrics and communicate innovation progress to leadership and other stakeholders through daily/weekly review meetings. • Support on critical ad hoc process initiatives which are needed to avoid negative business impacts such as wrong forecast planning, department production stops or negative customer experience issues. • Prioritize new report and feature requests, evaluate and set stakeholder expectations. • Contribute to report/software improvements in collaboration with the other technical and business departments.
  • Master’s Degree or similar education in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a similar related discipline.
Past experience collaborating and effectively communicating (written & verbal) with senior management, technology teams, and international stakeholders.
Strong analytical and technical ability including creative problem solving.
  • Experience in business case decision-making, complex problem-solving capabilities and high level of attention to details.
  • Proven ability to influence others without having positional authority.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Advanced in Excel, VBA, Marcos
