Product Specialist, Mass Spectrometry (m/f/d)

We are looking for a product specialist to join the Compact Mass Spectrometry (MS) Team. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for defining the requirements and needs of the Compact Mass Spectrometry Market. You will work closely with the extended Compact MS team and Marketing groups in assessing markets and gathering VOC, transferring this information to R&D to develop fit for purpose products and solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong domain expertise and a demonstrable knowledge of LC-MS end-user market requirements in addition to hands on LCMS experience.

What you will do
  • Work closely with commercial teams and Vertical marketing teams to develop strategies to address the needs and drive growth in the Compact MS market segment
  • Collecting and evaluating voice of the customer (VOC) to develop customer needs for future technologies
  • Translating VOC into product requirements and working with R&D to perform initial hands-on demonstration of requested features and performance
  • Deliver technical presentations to the sales organization as well as to key customers
What we are looking for
  • Must have hands on experience with mass spectrometry and HPLC technologies
  • Ability to articulate feature tradeoffs and decision processes for delivering best-in-class products to consumers
  • Must have robust written and verbal communication skills and feel at ease communicating regularly with technical and business teams
  • Experience interacting with customers and partners for technical and/or product integration is desired
  • Ability to work within a diverse, cross-functional team across multiple sites
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% (domestic and international)
  • PhD or equivalent in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, or related field is required
