Vattenfall is now looking for the right person to fill the position as T&I Product Project Director reporting to the Head of Construction & Logistics in Business Area Wind.

The Construction & Logistics Department is responsible for the development of transport and installation concepts of our future windfarms as well as is providing the technical know-how with regards to T&I on all our offshore projects in execution.
Hence, we are setting the standards and guidelines as well as being embedded within our projects, from the development and offshore construction phase to the offshore decommissioning stage.

What will you do?

As T&I Product Project Director you represent the Construction & Logistics organisation in a portfolio of offshore wind projects with regard to the transport and installation of offshore wind components. Therefore the T&I Product Portfolio Director (T&I PPD) plays a vital role in ensuring the portfolio approach across our projects in development as well as in execution. For same, the T&I PDD is overviewing and interacting with all relevant transport and installation technology providers, internal and external T&I stakeholders and suppliers.

This involves tasks such as:

  • Steering the development of the Offshore Windfarm Transport & Installation technologies across installation packages as well as across different projects and regions
  • Being the key interface between Vattenfall’s Offshore Development Team, Vattenfall’s Project Delivery and Engineering team as well as Vattenfall’s O&M team with regards to T&I technology and related solutions in order to drive LCOE reduction targets
  • Developing T&I strategies in and challenging market development together with internal and external stakeholders and partners
  • Maintaining and improving T&I supplier relationships

Location
You can choose to be based in Amsterdam, Hamburg, Kolding or London.


Qualifications


We are looking for a person which is willing to and capable of implementing T&I strategies for offshore wind. We have a pipeline of interesting offshore windfarms in a variety of challenging locations, and need a person pro-actively contributing to drive forward on a technical and commercial level. Your previous experience will enable you to provide valuable input to development, technical and execution strategies, as well as engagement to our future project pipeline.

  • Experience in project management, preferably from offshore or large infrastructure projects
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to create and maintain a motivating environment in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary environment, driving progress and solutions towards the target
  • Strong communicator with strong interpersonal and network building skills to manage stakeholders
  • Strong command of English, both verbally and written
  • Solid and robust knowledge and understanding of Offshore Transport and Installation on technical and commercial levels
  • Good ability to analyse and interpret data as well as strong negotiation skills
  • Overall strong innovative mindset with the ability to progress new technologies and state of the art technologies in our overall processes
  • Ability to work in a large and complex organisation
  • Proactive and comfortable with both long as well as short term focus
  • You lead change, you are accountable, and you create trust
  • You are interested in leading business and developing people and teams
