Founded in 1965, we now have 31 factories in 18 countries and employ more than 5,900 people worldwide.Purpose Of The JobResponsible from developing and executing the Labels strategy for EMEA and Asia with clear deliverables for top / bottom line growth, geographic and product adjacency expansion, margin improvement, and product management / portfolio MGPP (multi-generational and complete life cycle product planning). This individual leads the cross functional and cross regional value stream teams with clear accountability for executing sector strategies, product optimization, cost and performance KPI’s, and aligning team to ensure a customer centric orientation. Create sustainable competitive advantages in the Labels Sector with a current annual revenue of ~250M € with expectations for extensive growth in PET Heat Shrink Sleeve and other sustainable labelling technologies specifically.Tasks And Responsibilities- Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, manufacturing, and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
- Contributes to the development of marketing, sales, and financial mid-term strategic plan for the product line, coordinating across functions to execute.
- Manage the product portfolio to ensure a healthy and competitive portfolio, recommending operational changes.
- Coordinates the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning through tactical execution activities.
- Conducts market analysis to gather and prioritize customer requirements and unmet needs for current and future product development.
- Work with the pricing team, developing the price strategies and channel programs to maximize growth.
- Manages the interface of customer requirements and operations through the development of product specifications in conjunction with other Value Stream members.
- Prepares product development objectives and schedules for all phases of product development as well as commercialization strategy for all new products introduced to the market.
- Conducts market research and identifies and tracks market trends in company’s industry.
- Provides product line expertise with respect to competitor’s product offerings and relative share of demand as well as produces competitive analysis materials comparing product with its key competitors.
- Assists in negotiation of contracts with key customers, to establish and maintain pricing policies, manage volume expectations and define service level standards.
- Works closely with Marketing staff to provide product-specific conten
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S. – sciences/technical major preferred) or equivalent
- 3+ years of product management or strong experience within the Label industry
- Experience in leading cross functional and cross regional teams on a direct or matrix basis
- Experience with product management or technical or innovation projects in a manufacturing company
- Market knowledge in relevant industry with deep understanding B2B market
- Expertise in engineered materials with plastics experience preferred
