Product Developer (m/f/d)

In this position you will become a defining part of the future development of our Active Range and direct injected shoes. In line with our Birkenstock Philosophy and Heritage, you will be able to translate our DNA into new technical solutions and cooperate closely with our Product Engineering Team, and exciting external technical service partners and consultants.


Your shoes to fill:

  • For our Active Range, you participate in the development of EVA and PU-related Footwear (Direct Injected Shoes) from the idea, over planning, prototyping and 3D construction, mold making, pre-production and until bulk-readiness for our products
  • You assure the material and component development by managing close relationship with suppliers
  • Finally, you realize the 3D construction of your idea and the mold making. Your curiosity pushes you in always discovering new technical developments and production methods
  • In everything you do, you know that communication is key, and thus make sure everything runs smoothly across all departments

Your walk of life:

  • Significant experience ideally in product development, production, manufacturing or similar
  • Know-how of footwear manufacturing methods, construction, and materials with special focus on EVA and PU injected footwear
  • Fit in MS Office and first experience with SAP is a plus
  • Team player, able to build strong inter- and outer-departmental relationships
  • Curious, creative, pragmatic and innovative thinker
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
